The short version: use Godark if it helps, do not lean on it as your only defence, and nothing here is treatment.
Who you are agreeing with
Godark is made by Flower Execution Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong, and that company is who these terms are with. They cover this website and the waitlist on it. The app is licensed through Apple's App Store, so Apple's own licence applies to it as well as this.
What Godark is, and what it is not
Godark blocks adult sites, browsers and the apps you pick, on your own phone, on your own instruction. It is a commitment device: a way of making the easy thing harder at the moment being easy is the problem.
It is not therapy, not medical treatment, not a diagnosis, and not advice from anybody qualified to give it. If porn is costing you your work, your relationships or your health, talk to a doctor or a therapist. An app is not a substitute for that, and we would rather say so than sell you one.
A block is not a lock
Godark uses Apple's Screen Time framework, which is what any iOS app has to use for this. It is good and it is not perfect. Somebody determined enough, with enough time, can get around any restriction on a phone they own, including this one.
So we do not promise that Godark blocks everything, that it cannot be undone, or that it will behave exactly as it does today if Apple changes the framework underneath it. Treat it as friction when you want friction, not as a wall.
The waitlist
Give us your email address and we use it once, to tell you the app is out. We do not sell it and we do not add it to anything else. What we keep and how to have it deleted is set out in the privacy notice.
If there is a price
Godark may cost money when it ships. We have not decided what, which is why no figure appears anywhere on this site. Everyone on the waitlist hears the price before it goes live.
If there is a subscription or an in app purchase, Apple sells it, charges it to your App Store account, and handles renewals, cancellations and refunds. You cancel in your App Store settings rather than with us.
Using this site
Do not attack the site or the waitlist, do not submit somebody else's address, and do not scrape it. The writing, the drawings and the code are ours.
You need to be 18 or older to join the waitlist.
If something goes wrong
The site and the app are provided as they are. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for what follows if the block fails, if you find your way around it, or if the app is unavailable. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be signed away, and if your local law gives you more than this page does, your local law wins.
Changes
These terms can change. The date below says when they last did. If something changes that matters to people already on the waitlist, it goes in the email we send.
